My name is Kaden Callaham and I love to make films and videos for others to enjoy. Growing up I was always a creative person. I have been
writing since I believe I was in the single digits and while my stories probably weren’t the best, I still enjoyed making them. I got
really into video making during middle school and discovered apps on the school ipad that would allow you to make cute little trailers.
When I got to highschool is when I first encounter my best friend in the world, Premiere Pro. Seriously, plop me in front of a computer
with premiere pro on it and I’ll be in my own world. I fell deeply in love. When I got to university, I was so excited to work more with
premiere. I even joined a club that makes movies in my second year attending the university. Which is where I learned more about how to
write scripts.
WHY DO I WANT TO BE A VIDEO DIRECTOR?
I want to be a video director because I want to share my creative stories with others on the big screen. I loved seeing the cool shows
and movies while growing up. I want to maybe even inspiring one of them to create a show of their very own.
WHAT I'M HAPPY ABOUT
I’m happy about how far I’ve come as a creative person. My writing style and understanding has vastly improved since I was younger. I’m
proud of myself for how far I’ve come in terms of education and the fact I’m about to graduate from WSU and I couldn’t be happier about
it. I spent so long getting to this point and it’s finally paying off. I just couldn’t think of a better way to cap of this amazing
first chapter in my life.
HOPES AND DREAMS
One of my big hopes is that I eventually make enough of a name for myself to own my own film studio one day. My main dream is to become
a video director and own my own business and potentially become a big hollywood name.
WHAT I'VE DONE IN FILM
I’ve done several projects in terms of video production and also some audio. Which kind of goes hand in hand when working in programs
such as premiere pro. One of my favorite creations is a short video called “The Plush”. In the short I play the main character as he
is hunted by a seemingly cute doll on the surface that “accidentally” kills people by hugging them on the neck. Really hard to do a
shot that involves something jumping onto a character without it looking cheesy.
WHY IT'S IMPORTANT TO ME
The main reason making videos and sharing them with others is so important to me is because I believe it’s important to share parts of
yourself with others that you love. It’s what I’ve been working towards my entire life. It’s important because it’s one of the very
first steps I need to take before I can achieve my dream of becoming a successful director one day.
WHAT I HOPE FOR THE FUTURE
For the future, I hope to become a great film director. But getting there is a whole lot more easier said than done. The first step
after I graduate is getting signed on to a filming studio as a stage hand. Helping out with setting up and making sure everything
is going smoothly from behind the scene. The next step would be to move up the ranks to executive producer until I make enough of
a name for myself to go out on my own and found my own film business. The name of the studio is going to be Full Moon Studios.
